Day 2 of the OK State FFA 100th Convention did not disappoint. We began the day with opening session and a keynote from Amy Downs, one of the last survivors recovered from the Oklahoma City bombing site. We received a certificate for our participation in the Hunger Challenge which benefits Oklahoma food banks and Backpacks for Hungry Kids programs. We walked through the trade show full of shopping, college and business booths, and even a magician. The day ended with The Great Divide in concert which was a blast. You can watch the convention sessions live at https://convention.okffa.org. Be sure to tune in tonight for the Final session at 6:30 pm to watch our very own Caileigh Lindsey receive her State FFA Degree! 🏅💙💛

There’s nothing quite like hands-on learning.

Our kindergarten students recently had the opportunity to observe and participate in the egg hatching process, bringing science to life right before their eyes. From learning about incubation to watching the chicks hatch, this experience gave students a deeper understanding of life cycles, responsibility, and the wonders of nature.

Moments like these create excitement for learning that goes far beyond the classroom. We love seeing our students engaged, curious, and making real-world connections every day.

Our elementary students enjoyed a well-earned cold treat after wrapping up the first week of testing!

We are so proud of their hard work, focus, and determination. A sweet little reward was the perfect way to celebrate their effort and keep them motivated. Keep it up, students—you’re doing great!

Thanks Lindsey Scribner for the ice-cream.

Elementary Testing begins next week. The entire testing schedule is on the weekly bulletin. Here are some helpful tips to support your child before, during, and on the day of the test:

🛌 Before the Test: Preparation & Routine
• Prioritize sleep and a nutritious breakfast to boost focus
• Stick to regular daily routines to reduce anxiety
• Prepare clothes, school supplies, and tools the night before

⏰ Day of the Test: Tips for Success
• Arrive on time to avoid feeling rushed
• Remind your child they are more than a test score—it’s okay to feel nervous
• Encourage confidence and a “do your best” mindset
• Praise effort and maintain a positive attitude

✏️ During the Test: Strategies That Help
• Read directions and questions carefully—twice if needed
• Use the process of elimination on multiple-choice questions
• Stay focused—don’t worry about others finishing early
• Double-check answers if time allows
• Manage stress with deep breathing or small stretches
• Use evidence—underline text that supports answers

Together, we can help our students feel prepared, confident, and ready to do their best! 💪📖

OSTP Testing Tips for Students

Testing season starts next week. Parents, here are some simple ways you can help your student feel confident and ready for the OSTP at home:

Get a good night’s sleep
Eat a healthy breakfast
Read daily – Even 15–20 minutes of reading can build comprehension and confidence.
Practice basic skills – Review math facts, vocabulary, and writing when possible.
Encourage a positive mindset – Remind them to do their best and stay calm.
Be on time to school – Arriving early helps students feel prepared and relaxed.

We believe in our students and know they will do great. Let’s work together to set them up for success.
